Context#

Life For Christ Kenpo, a Christ-centered martial arts ministry, was running on an aging website that no longer reflected the school. The owner wanted the relaunch to coincide with a meaningful milestone: the school's 25th anniversary.

Role#

I rebuilt the site from the ground up — design, front-end build, and launch — working against the fixed anniversary date the owner wanted to tie the release to.

Constraints#

• The old site was slow and dated, so performance was a top priority, not an afterthought
• The design needed to work cleanly across phones, tablets, and desktops for a family audience that spans a wide range of devices
• The launch was tied to a fixed date — the school's 25th anniversary — which set a hard deadline for the rebuild

Approach#

I rebuilt the site on a modern, lightweight stack chosen specifically for load speed, paired with a responsive layout designed mobile-first so it holds up on any device. The new design kept the ministry's identity — its Kenpo school branding and Christ-centered messaging — front and center while giving the site a cleaner, more current look, and timed the launch to land alongside the 25th anniversary celebration.

Outcome#

The site launched on schedule with the anniversary, giving the school a fast, modern, fully responsive home online that fit the milestone it was built to celebrate.
